A man has been taken to hospital following a crash on the A34 this afternoon.
The crash, involving two cars happened in Talke near to the Miller and Carter restaurant shortly before 2pm this afternoon.
Both cars were badly damaged in the collision and Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service crews were called to make them safe after fuel was reportedly seen to be leaking.
As a result the road was blocked for around two hours.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “One of our ambulances came across the crash and another was called to the scene.”
A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: “The driver of one of the vehicles was taken to the Royal Stoke University and the female driver of the other vehicle was assessed by paramedics and discharged at the scene.”
The condition of the male driver is not yet clear but his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
