M11 near Stansted blocked after jackknifed lorry shed fencing panels – Essex Live

The M11 northbound carriageway between Stansted Airport and Cambridge has been closed after a lorry jackknifed thereby shedding its load of fencing panels.

Traffic is currently at a standstill following the accident between Junction 8 for the A120, B1256 Stortford Road and Stansted Airport turnoff and Junction 9 for the A11 heading to Saffron Walden.

The road is blocked about four miles after Junction 8.

Motorists are facing a tortuous wait while the road is cleared of the debris and the lorry is removed from the carriageway.

It is unclear how long it will be before the road is reopened following the incident which happened at around 5.15pm today, Thursday, November 10.
