A two-car collision on southbound Interstate 17 to eastbound Interstate 10 at the split sent one person to the hospital and blocked several lanes in Phoenix on Sunday morning, officials said.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety said a crash was reported in the area at 10:34 a.m. with a vehicle facing the wrong way. Two vehicles had collided and one person was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Arizona Department of Transportation tweeted at about 10:40 a.m. for drivers to watch for traffic in the area as the lanes remained blocked at about 10:40 a.m.
