Calcot traffic lights woe and M4 exit slip road blocked: Monday’s traffic and travel round-up – getreading

Temporary traffic lights by Sainsbury’s on the A4 Bath Road in Calcot is set to cause plenty of congestion for drivers over the coming months.

The lights are in place until the end of April and motorists are being urged to find alternative routes to avoid the area if possible.

Elsewhere, the regular commuter routes in and around Reading , Wokingham and Bracknell are building up with traffic.

There is slow traffic on the A329 Reading Road in both directions at B3030 Robinhood Lane, creating delays through Winnersh .

Basingstoke Road, King’s Road and Caversham Road in Reading are all busy in both directions, while traffic is looking very slow over Caversham Bridge.

A broken down car at junction six of the M4 London-bound means a lane is blocked on the exit slip road.

The car has broken down just before the roundabout and traffic is slow in that area.

National Rail is reporting a good service on the rail network, although the 4.52pm service to London Paddington is running six minutes late.
